consultation & concierge
Before starting on any treatment pathway, an initial consultation is essential to review your current aesthetic and skin journey and plan out your future aspirations
-
Every new client begins their journey with a 30-minute 1:1 consultation with Dr. Munroe. During this session, we will explore your aesthetic concerns, assess your current skincare routine, and create a tailored plan to help you achieve your goals. This comprehensive consultation includes professional analysis and photography, and the cost is £30, redeemable against future treatments.
-
Your journey begins with a 1:1 consultation, where we discuss your aesthetic goals and analyse your skin’s condition. We’ll create a personalised plan, designed specifically for your needs, using professional insights and evidence-based approaches.
-
During the consultation, Dr. Munroe will assess your skincare routine and highlight areas for improvement. You'll receive personalised recommendations for medical-grade skincare, over-the-counter products, supplements, and lifestyle adjustments to support your aesthetic goals.
-
If your booked treatment plan aligns with the consultation, you have the option to proceed with same-day treatments. You’d rather pop home and think it over? Not a problem - you can book back in another time.
-
Unfortunately, injectable treatments are entirely unsuitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as manufacturers have not tested and will not test their products on these groups. That said, we can still chat and formulate a plan! There are a few other medical issues too but these are all covered in our extensive health check.
-
if this is your first aesthetic treatment or even first treatment with Dr Munroe, you’ve come to the right place. Please also schedule a Consultation with us to ensure the right treatment plan
-
The consultation costs £30, fully redeemable against any treatment you book. You can choose to have your treatment on the same day (if suitable) or schedule for a future date that works best for you.
refresh & relax
Wrinkle-relaxing or neurotoxin treatments designed to rejuvenate your appearance by targeting a combination of small and large areas. These treatments help relax facial muscles to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, leaving you looking refreshed. Options include ‘baby tox’ for a subtle touch and ‘mens tox’ tailored for male clients. Additional treatments can address concerns such as sweating and jaw slimming. Before your treatment, photographs will be taken to document your starting point, ensuring the most accurate results and tracking progress over time.
-
Botulinum toxin, also known as a neuromodulator, works by temporarily blocking the signals between nerves and muscles. This prevents the treated muscles from contracting, which in turn softens the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Clinical effects typically begin to show within 3 to 7 days, with full results appearing by two weeks. Results generally last between 3 to 4 months, after which the muscle activity gradually returns.
-
Neuromodulators work at the neuromuscular junction (Ie between the nerve that sends the signals and the muscle that does the action),, where they inhibit the release of acetylcholine—a neurotransmitter responsible for muscle contraction. By blocking this signal, the treated muscles are temporarily 'switched off', reducing dynamic wrinkles that appear with facial expressions. Over time, with regular treatments, these dynamic wrinkles may soften further as the muscles become less active. This can lead to the improved appearance or lines at rest or decrease the bulk of a muscle when inactivated temporarily.

Before your treatment, we recommend avoiding alcohol and blood-thinning medications to reduce the chance of bruising. Photographs will be taken to document your baseline. If you're concerned about discomfort, we have a number of options including a topical numbing cream to ensure a more comfortable experience. After your treatment, it's essential to follow our aftercare guidelines, including avoiding intense exercise and massaging the treated areas for the first 24 hours. Most people return to their day as planned post treatment, but wed ask you to avoid make-up or touching treated areas.
-
During your consultation, we will talk you through the consent process, including discussing potential risks such as bruising, mild swelling, or temporary drooping. We use advanced techniques to minimise any discomfort, including topical numbing creams if necessary, and ensure the procedure is as pain-free as possible. Safety is our priority, and we tailor every treatment to your specific needs.

revitalise & rejuvenate
Polynucleotides and Profhilo are skin and facial treatments that work from within the skin, proven by scientific evidence. These advanced treatments focus on stimulating collagen, hydrating deep layers of skin, and restoring vitality for a natural, youthful glow. Our treatments include Profhilo and Polynucleotides (PNs), also known as the "salmon sperm facial," both of which provide scientifically-backed skin rejuvenation.
-
Profhilo is an injectable treatment that deeply hydrates the skin while stimulating collagen production, helping improve skin elasticity, texture, and firmness. Unlike fillers, it doesn’t add volume but instead works within the skin to revitalise its overall quality.
How Profhilo Works: Profhilo’s high concentration of hyaluronic acid spreads beneath the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production by up to 20%. This bioremodelling process helps the skin regain its firmness and glow.
Schedule of Treatments: For optimal results, we recommend two treatments spaced 4 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments can be performed every 6 months to maintain hydration and support ongoing collagen stimulation.
Observable Results: Improvements in skin texture and hydration can typically be seen within 3 to 4 weeks after the first treatment, with full results appearing by 8 weeks. Skin looks refreshed, firmer, and more radiant, lasting for 6 months or longer depending on skin type and lifestyle..
-
Polynucleotides (Plinest) are renowned for their ability to repair and regenerate skin tissue. These injections help improve skin elasticity, reduce wrinkles, treat scars, and even promote hair restoration. PNs are commonly known as the "salmon sperm facial" due to their origin in DNA extracted from salmon sperm.
How Polynucleotides Work: Polynucleotides repair damaged skin cells and stimulate new collagen formation, rejuvenating the skin from within. Clinical studies show an improvement in skin elasticity by up to 38%, with fine lines and wrinkles noticeably reduced.
Minimal down time: The vast majority of PN treatments result in minimal daytime. in some areas PNs administered with a needle can result in 12-24 hours of downtime due to minor swelling or bruising. In these areas we can preferentially use a cannula to minimise downtime where possible.
Fish Allergy Consideration: As Polynucleotides are derived from salmon DNA, it is important to disclose if you have a fish allergy during your consultation, as this may pose a risk with the treatment. This is not necessarily a contraindication so just let us know.
Schedule of Treatments: Typically, we recommend three treatments spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart. For hair restoration, up to six treatments may be advised. Maintenance treatments are recommended every 6 to 12 months to maintain the skin’s regenerated appearance and prevent further ageing.
Observable Results: Initial improvements in skin quality can be seen as early as 2 to 3 weeks post-treatment, with ongoing improvements over time. The skin becomes smoother, with improved elasticity and reduced fine lines. For hair restoration, visible improvements are typically seen after the third session.
-
To optimise results and minimise risks:
Before Treatment: Avoid alcohol, aspirin, and anti-inflammatory medications 48 hours prior to treatment to reduce the risk of bruising. Ensure you're well-hydrated and maintaining a consistent skincare routine.
After Treatment:

Refrain from touching or massaging the treated area for the first day.
Mild swelling or redness may occur but should subside within a few hours.

reharmonise & restore
Hyaluronic acid facial fillers are specifically chosen to replenish or build volume, creating balanced, harmonious facial features. Whether restoring lost volume or enhancing areas that need definition, our treatments aim to symmetrise your natural beauty.
-
Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are injected beneath the skin to restore volume and smooth wrinkles. HA is a naturally occurring substance in the body, making these fillers highly biocompatible and effective at delivering natural-looking results. Upon injection, the filler adds instant volume, while stimulating collagen production to enhance long-term skin quality.
-
At Dr. Munroe clinic, we exclusively use Teoxane fillers because of their exceptional quality, resilience, and adaptability to facial dynamics. Teoxane’s patented Resilient Hyaluronic Acid (RHA) technology offers several advantages:
Natural Integration: RHA fillers are designed to integrate naturally into the skin, ensuring smooth results even in highly mobile areas like the lips, mouth, and cheeks.
Durability and Flexibility: Studies show that RHA fillers retain their elasticity even in areas of frequent movement, offering longer-lasting results without compromising on natural facial expression. Clinical trials demonstrate that Teoxane RHA fillers can last up to 18 months, depending on the treatment area and individual factors.
Safe and Effective: Teoxane products are backed by rigorous clinical trials, demonstrating their high safety profile and effectiveness. Patients report significant improvements in facial volume and contour, with a 98% satisfaction rate in post-treatment surveys.
Teoxane fillers are ideal for those seeking subtle, natural-looking enhancements that harmonise with facial expressions while providing durable, long-lasting results.
